Wakefield

Stephanie Wakefield is a PhD candidate in the department of Earth and Environmental Science at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center and teaches in the Urban Studies Department at Queens College. Her dissertation is a study of the ‘environment machine,’ which brings together Heidegger and crisis management, the ontology of new urban environments, as well as theories of technology and decline. She is also working on a book collecting the writings of Reiner Schürmann.
