Catherine Malabou is Professor of Modern European Philosophy at the Center for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Kingston University, and Visiting Professor of Comparative Literature at SUNY Buffalo. Her books include The Future of Hegel: Plasticity, Temporality, and Dialectic (1996/2004), Plasticity at the Dusk of Writing (2004/2009), What Should We Do With Our Brain (2004/2009), The Heidegger Change: On the Fantastic in Philosophy (2004/2011), and Les Nouveaux Blessés: de Freud a la Neurologie (2007). She is coauthor, with Adrian Johnston, of Self and Emotional Life: Merging Philosophy, Psychoanalysis, and Neurobiology (forthcoming, Columbia UP), and is preparing a new book on the political meaning of life in light of recent discoveries in the biological sciences.
